We’ve got a grand update for our favorite upcoming fighting game’s home release in Japan.
Pokkén Tournament will be included in a Wii U Deluxe bundle, releasing alongside the game on March 18th in Japan. The bundle, with a suggested retail price of 36,800 yen, includes a digital copy of the game, a Shadow Mewtwo amiibo card, and a Battle Pokémon Action List booklet.
More exciting for those who want to emulate the arcade feel of the game is the Pokkén Tournament Dedicated Controller, which also releases alongside the game in Japan. While this is not needed to play the game, it does look very similar to the controller for the original arcade release of Pokkén. The start button is now much smaller at the bottom of the face, along with added Select, ZL, and ZR buttons. Otherwise, the other buttons on the controller appear to be identical to the arcade controller. The controller will retail in Japan for 3,480 yen.
For those not using the new Dedicated Controller, the game can also be played with the Wii U GamePad, the Wii U Pro Controller, and the Classic Controller Pro.
